West Indies and India will play their ODI and T20I squads, as announced on Thursday. Kieron Pollard will lead the visitors in both the games. West Indies are fully prepared with a strong team in both the formats and also they continue their preparations for the World T20 in Australia next year. Along With Pollard, Sherfane Rutherford and Test captain Jason Holder comprise the all-rounders’ department in T20Is.

The visitors have named a solid line-up in the shortest format of the game with the likes of Evin Lewis, Pollard Shimon Hetmyer, Lendl Simmons, and Nicholas Pooran in the star-studded line-up. Sheldon Cottrell will spearhead the bowling attack along with the likes of Keemo Paul, Holder, and Kesrick Williams.

T20i series is a three-match game that will start from December 6th, and the first match scheduled to be played is in Hyderabad. The matched followed by will be played in Thiruvanthapuram on 8th December and the final game will be played on December 11th in Mumbai. The T20I series will be followed by a three-match ODI series starting from December 15.

Shai Hope along with Lewis, Roston Chase, and Pooran form a formidable playing line-up in the upcoming ODIs. However, they may face it challenging against an in-form Indian pace attack which has been producing the goods across formats this year. However, West Indies coach Phil Simmons said that the team management is looking forward to giving every player a chance against India to test them against strong opposition.

“We have three matches in each format, so we wanted to give each squad a chance to compete against India. No disrespect to Afghanistan, but facing India will be a more difficult series, especially in the ODI. Our players really got the hang of thing with the 3-0 series win and I believe we will move from strength to strength,” Simmons said.
